About Us
Tell Your Story Consulting was officially founded in 2025, but its story began in 2023 when Co-Founders Ahryanna and Emi met at the United States Senate Youth Program in Washington, D.C. Their friendship deepened as they bonded over their shared challenges and insights about college admissions—a demanding process that also offered a rare opportunity for reflection and self-discovery. Since then, both Ahry and Emi have utilized their experiences to help friends gain admission to their dream universities.
At TYS Consulting, we know that college admissions can feel impersonal and overwhelming. Our mission is to make it more accessible and student-centered by providing need-based support that places students’ stories at the heart of the process. As competition intensifies and AI-generated content becomes more ubiquitous, we remain committed to authenticity, encouraging students to craft meaningful narratives that reflect who they are. Through essay coaching, interview preparation, mentorship, and more, our goal is to help students find clarity in their voice—not only to get into college, but to carry with them long after. We hope to help you prepare for some of the most exciting and important chapters in your life through our small part in your story.

"Emi has a rare talent for language and an unparalleled ability to draw meaningful connections between ideas. We spent hours brainstorming my law school personal statement, and through thoughtful questions and attentive listening, she helped me uncover links in my experiences that I hadn’t seen before. I’ll never forget the way she lit up when an idea clicked—jotting down a mind map in her journal, sketching a narrative that made sense of it all and piecing together my story. What started as a swirl of disconnected experiences quickly became a clear, paragraph-by-paragraph outline and a strong draft of my opening section. I came in with nothing concrete, and I left our meeting not only with tangible progress, but also with a clear understanding of my essay’s purpose and structure. Throughout the writing process, her feedback was both insightful and precise, ranging from big-picture restructuring to fine detail edits. Emi went above and beyond, and I have complete confidence in her ability to guide others through their application journeys."

"Working with Emi was incredibly helpful. Not only does she know how to convey your story in a clear and impactful way, but she also brings out the best in your own voice, helping your writing feel authentic and true to you. She encourages the right amount of polish and structure without ever making it sound like someone else’s writing. She asks thoughtful questions that push you to reflect more deeply and tap into your own storytelling abilities. Thanks to her guidance, the heart of my stories were able to shine through."

"Getting advice from Ahry felt like having a college admissions officer looking over my shoulder, pointing out exactly what I needed to take my application to the next level. She helped me transform vague ideas for my personal essay into a clear, compelling narrative that truly reflected my values and story. Her feedback was always prompt, honest, deeply thoughtful, and constructive. Beyond essays, Ahry guided me through applications for competitive extracurricular programs and helped me prepare for interviews—support that played a key role in my selection as the Board of Education student representative and a delegate to the United States Senate Youth Program. With her help, I was accepted into Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, WashU, and more, giving me the options that I had thought I could only dream of."

"Ahryanna was such a helpful and supportive mentor throughout my college process. She was always willing to answer my questions and share her experiences with different leadership programs. I’m especially grateful for the times she reviewed my essays and offered thoughtful feedback, as well as when she let me read some of her own writing, which gave me a better sense of how to approach mine. Her guidance and encouragement truly made a difference, and I fully believe her support helped me earn a full ride and win an additional $20,000+ in scholarships. She showed me the path to success and anytime someone asks me how I did it I bring up her name. I’m truly so thankful and I’m excited for the next students that she mentors!"

She really knows how to write in your voice while still making everything sound polished. Her advice made the whole process way less overwhelming."
